Job Description

Are you an experienced UI Designer who excels at information design and enjoys creating exceptional digital experiences?

Are you strong on detail and typography and excel at interaction design, visual design, and prototyping working on processes from start to completion?

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a B2B media company which is known for its leading news and community website that works with a varied client list from large global banks to entrepreneurial fintech start-ups – covering hot topics that include cloud, open banking, blockchain, APIs, CDBCs, crypto, BNPL…everything in fintech.

This role is a hybrid WFH/1 -2 days London office split.  This can either be a 6 – 9 month FTC or a perm opportunity.


To develop and re-design the interface of the website and products to reflect the company’s different offerings and components – creating an improved look and feel, creating a more visual brand and shaping the future strategy for the user experience.


  • Evolve UI to the latest standards and best practices using UX and/or service design principles and brand guidelines
  • Create and contribute to digital design libraries
  • Deliver consistent, excellent design solutions
  • Optimise existing experiences to boost visitor engagement
  • Take responsibility for communication and planning design activities
  • Proactively collaborate with colleagues across the business and manage skateholders expectations and priorities
  • Act as a champion of trialing new and relevant design methodologies and practices and promote this across the business.
  • Create and review design specifications for developers (across app and web platforms)
  • Able to understand complex technical digital concepts, and present them as simple design solutions
  • Team player – working closely with the design team in defining, designing, and iterating on product features across web and mobile platforms and with the development team to support integration, enhancement, and compliance with the design system.
  • Able to take insights and learnings from research and analytics teams to steer future designs
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal – able to communicate your thinking and design decisions and take people on the journey with you.
  • Excellent problem- solving abilities with the ability to understand and interpret requirements
  • Solid information, interaction, and experience design skills
  • Multi-tasker with good time management skills
  • Experience of fluid layouts and Responsive Web Design
  • Knowledge of digital design authoring tools such as Adobe XD

Our client is offering a competitive salary of £50 – £60k + benefits.
